Apple WWDC26: iOS 27, Siri AI and much more

"Good Morning!" - That was the First two words of Tim Cook in the WWDC26.

Apple iOS27

Tim Cook started saying that we (the developers) have been building more apps than ever before.

Some pictures of the mission Artemis II were shown in the Worldwide Developers Conference 2026, because some of their pictures were taken with an iPhone.

Improvements in the new iOS 27 will be distributed in 3 different blocks:

  1. Platform improvements
  2. Trust and Safety
  3. Apple Intelligence and Siri

1. Platform improvements

iOS 27 will come with improvements in Liquid Glass (from tinted to more transparent), the liquid glass icons in the wallpaper will be more realistic. iOS will preload the application before opening it and They have achieved an 80% faster Airdrop
It'll be available in more models than ever before, starting from iPhone 11.
The searching spotlight will be more sophisticated and faster than ever.
You'll be able to share an album on iCloud to Android.
Airpods will have an equalizer by default and you'll be able to update it and customize it.
Spatial pictures will come to Vision OS, which you can have on your iPhone nowadays.

2. Trust and Safety

Kids and teenagers will have the possibility to have healthier habits by having a family media plan. You'll be able to convert or create a child account to the account of your child.
They can stay focused by asking their parents to add more time, ask to browse the apps by their age. You can decide who your child talks to on messages.
The time allowances will be developed (or have been developed) with science experts and they can have their own schedules for kids to focus on school.

3. Apple Intelligence and Siri

"Artificial Intelligence into you and your needs" - Craig says

Apple intelligence has been developed in collaboration with Google. It has a higher accuracy dictation and it is Privacy First.
Your data is not stored in the servers of Apple or Google.

Siri + Apple Intelligence = Siri AI

It'll be a more capable assistant, more conversational, new dedicated siri app, visual intelligence and write with Siri.

Siri Spotlight (on MacOS), you'll be able to screenshot an image, write with siri and an automatic proofreading.
Now you can train Safari to "Notify me" when a registration on a concert is available and has changed their status on the web and you can buy the tickets.
You can now describe an extension and the Siri will make it.
You can also fix passwords that have been leaked in the web or search by words such as: "When has the parcel has been delivered?" and Siri will answer the exact hour if you have the camera in the garden or in front of your house.
The images capabilities of your iPhone will be spectacular. You can now clear, extend or reframe the pictures directly from your iPhone.

All the features will be for free (included with your iPhone). Will be available this fall 2026, however not in some countries such as China or the European Union. The European Union has to approve it and all of this features can be delayed on time in the European Countries.
